Discover exercises to get rid of love handles

After intensly working my abs yesterday, they are extremely sore, should i rest or workout through the pain ?

I foucused my workout in the morning to strictly abs and usually i feel fine the next day ready to hit the gym again but this morning my abs were so sore its uncomfortable to flex them you know what i mean?

should i not hesitate to do my crunches or wait ?
could this be my abs burning fat ?
or did i just over work them ?
